The Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) developed this project grant in partnership with its nine Designated Regional Service Organizations which make up a valuable statewide service network. The Regional Initiative grant program (REGI) is a good fit for applicants primarily interested in small projects that support access to t...he creative process and/or creative experience, especially those projects that experiment with new ways to apply the arts within community. Grant projects can take many varied forms: engage in a specific community matter, reflect on personal experience, bring neighbors together, etc.
We strongly encourage representatives in Western Connecticut to apply, including arts organizations, municipal art departments, artists, arts programs of 501c-3 non-arts organizations, Pre K-12 schools and PTO's. See complete list of eligible applicants below.

Cathy Vanaria, Chair of the Art Dept. is owner and photographer at The Gallery at Still River Editions and Connecticut Photograpics, 128 E. Liberty Street in Danbury. They offer archival, fine art digital giclee printing in color and black & white. The current exhibition is Mobile Pics CT 2015, a Connecticut-themed cellphone photo exhibition from June 13 - September 25, 2015. WCSU artists exhibit at Blue Mountain Gallery in NYC!

In this summer’s Small Works Invitational 2015, Blue Mountain Gallery will present small paintings by artists who have been invited by our own gallery artists to exhibit. The reception for the artists is Thursday July 9th from 5 to 8 pm.

As one of New York’s longest running and best known artist run galleries, Blue Mountain always presents exciting discoveries in its invitational exhibitions, and this year’s show will be a welcome addition to the many attractions in the area this summer. The gallery is Located steps from the High Line and close to the new Whitney in the heart of Chelsea’s gallery district at 530 West 25th St.reet.
