Marketing and Communications Director

The Westport Arts Center seeks an individual with proven marketing and communication management skills. The successful candidate will manage the development, implementation and output of the annual marketing and communications action plan across all departments. Primary responsibilities include the management and execution of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will articulate WAC’s mission, enhance the organizations image and increase its reach within the community. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work well independently, as well as be a collaborative member of a team-oriented environment. Excellent written and verbal skills with proficiency in Microsoft office, Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms, HTML, Joomla, Mac and PC.

Film and Media Director

The Film and Media Director will be responsible for running all aspects of Film and Media Programming at the Westport Arts Center.  Responsibilities include managing four Film related events to ensure an annual cycle of Film programming that can nurture a local audience.
Directing and overseeing WYFF (The Westport Youth Film Festival), now in its 9th year; the world’s largest high school student film festival.
Manage and oversee courses in the New Media Lab education program.
We are looking for a candidate who can provide the continuity and vision necessary to foster sustained growth over several years, with the aim of developing Film and Media programs at WAC.

Art Therapist/Teaching Artist

Westport Arts Center seeks a skilled and innovative part-time art educator to deliver art classes and, specifically, therapeutic arts experiences to a wide range of special populations, including children with special needs, seniors, military veterans and hospital patients. This teaching artist will report to the Director of Education, and collaborate with the Westport Arts Center's education department to design, manage, and implement a variety of dynamic art programs and workshops in various settings.
