Marci invites you to take the arts tour!
This weekend Sat. June 27 and Sun. 28, Dragonfly Studios has been invited to the Northwest Connecticut Arts Council's sixth Annual Open Your Eyes Studio Tour in the towns of Washington, Roxbury, Morris, and Bethlehem, CT. Since we are in New Milford, we were graciously invited to participate at our friend and fellow artist Larry Livolsi's hot glass shop, Lorenz Studios in Morris. Sadly, our friend Larry passed away recently but the studio will be open in his honor. He will be sorely missed.
The tour will feature 27 artists and artisans who have their studios in Washington, Roxbury, Morris, and Bethlehem. Visual artists and artisans open their creative spaces and show their processes to the public during the days of the tour. Dragonfly's Markis Tomascak will be at Lorenz Studios working on a stained glass piece of art. Come on down and see the artists at work!
The aim of Open Your Eyes Studio Tour is to shine a light on the many artists who live and work in our region, to give the community a greater understanding and appreciation for the arts and the creative process, and to draw attention to the towns in which these artists live and work. For information about Open Your Eyes Studio Tour go to openyoureyestour.org or contact the Northwest Connecticut Arts Council at (860) 618-0075 or maggie@artsnwct.org.
Attendance is free and information about the party is available on the event website. http://www.openyoureyestour.org/ Free Ticket Packets can be ordered through the website and include a map, directions sheets, and convenient sign-in stickers.
