To help connect local artists with the business community, Union Savings Bank officials plan to commission one or more artists to paint landscapes for their executive offices.
The bank is seeking artists who paint in oil -- the preferred medium -- or watercolors and have experience "capturing Connecticut's beauty through water- or lake-inspired scenery, recognizable town greens and streetscapes, and/or other landscapes that are quintessentially representative of Connecticut."
The bank is offering a total commission of $5,000, including framing costs, and will select up to three artists. If more than one artist is selected, the commission will be split.
Interested artists must email an application and four to 12 digital images of their work by May 31 to info@hvculturalarats.org in care of HVCA Creative Challenge: USB.
