Call to Photographers!

Hats Off to Baseball is a collaborative project with the Danbury Museum and Historical Society and the Danbury Westerners that includes a variety of programs and events sponsored by the Danbury Museum and Historical Society. 

The Photography Exhibit is a three week exhibition and artfully produced by the Housatonic Valley Cultural Alliance; sponsored by the Danbury Westerners, the Candlewood Camera Club and Regional YMCA ESCAPE to the Arts. The exhibit will be on display at ESCAPE to the Arts on 293 Main Street, Danbury.
  
CATEGORIES
  • Creative - In the spirit of the game of baseball this category is for photographic entries that can be digital creations of all things baseball.
  • Spirit of the Game - There is more to it than the action on the field. This category is to capture more than just the game itself.
  • Baseball - America's Pastime -Photojournalism tells a story in a photograph. Entries in this category are for telling the story of the game of baseball in action. Entries are photojournalism photographs of playing the game of baseball.
Note: Entries in this exhibit should focus on local little league, high school, college, Danbury Westerners or even neighborhood sandlots.

Eligibility
Open to All Artists who lives or works anywhere in the Greater Danbury area. Artists must be at least 18 years of age Fees Artists are required to be a current HVCA member to submit entries. The membership fee is $25.00 per artist, not per piece. Click here for Membership Information.
Sales
ESCAPE to the Arts will handle all sales. There is a 25% commission to ESCAPE to the Arts if work is sold.
Specifications
2 dimensional works All submissions must be of original design and must be for sale. Sale price includes frame (if applicable). All work must be framed (if applicable) or work cannot be accepted. Artwork must be ready for installation with accompanying hardware. Any work considered unsafe is not acceptable. No saw teeth for hanging. All works must be exactly as they appear in the digital images. Unless specifically informed in writing by the artist More complete details available on the above application.
