For Art Students

The $1,000 AIGA Connecticut Creative Scholarship program rewards students who produce exceptional work at university art and design programs across Connecticut. Each year one scholarship recipient is selected for their creative ability combined with their demonstrated commitment to their field of study.

CRITERIA

Applicant must be enrolled in a Connecticut college or University

Applicant must be a Freshman, Sophomore or Junior

Applicant must be an AIGA CT member or join AIGA during the application process before submission

REQUIREMENTS

All applicants for the 2013 AIGA CT Creative Scholarship program must submit the following to ‘scholarship@connecticut.aiga.org’:

5 pieces of original work (submissions must be digital in pdf format, each under 2 megabytes)

An essay on why you have chosen the field you are majoring in as a profession

One letter of reference from a professor

Submission form (AIGA-CT_ScholarshipApplication)



SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION PROCESS

Entries will be carefully evaluated by a jury of Connecticut creative professionals, including Pamela WIlliams, Alexander Isley, Sean Kernan, Richard Hollant, and John Gibson. Submissions will be reviewed and a final group vote will determine the winner. The winner will be notified by April 30, 2013. Winners will be formally awarded at the AIGA Connecticut Fellows event in May 2013.
