Plainville resident McDonald will show her paintings and
collages through Jan. 10 at the exhibit “Colorful Observations” at Gunn Memorial
Library at 5 Wykeham Road in Washington.
“It’s a new space for me,” said Brie McDonald of her new exhibit. “I wasn’t familiar with the Washington area, but it’s a beautiful library and area.”
McDonald was selected for the Gunn Library exhibit show when a local resident was struck by a painting of hers in a group show for artists under 30 (McDonald was 29 at the time) at the Washington Art Association in Roxbury last January. Her unexpected advocate suggested the library invite McDonald to do a show there. The Gunn Library has a history of putting on exhibits of photographers and landscape artists.
