Hey everyone--
I wanted to send out an email to all of my friends about the release of my new book, Mole Had Everything! Some of you may have seen this info on Facebook so sorry for the double info.

Mole Had Everything came out on May 8th and has already gotten some great reviews from Publishers Weekly and Kirkus.

We have also made a BOOK TRAILER with the help of Blue Apple Books and my ol pal' Dana Glidden:

Anyhow, I think this is my most important book to date and have already begun the initial stages of my next.
Here is a link to the book on amazon: MOLE HAD EVERYTHING ON AMAZON

Thanks all for you time and if you feel generous--share this email with all of your book reading chums.

Veronica Swain '10 needs volunteers

For over 30 years serving thousands of at-risk youth and families in Greater Bridgeport, GBAPP is excited to announce the 6th Annual City Kidz Got Skillz event taking place this November 9th, 2012 in Downtown Bridgeport. GBAPP’s overall goal with this event is to inspire kids to work to succeed. By providing a stage to perform and having a chance to win cash awards, City Kidz Got Skillz can be a positive catalyst to help keep kidz on track to both academic and artistic achievement. We want as many kidz as possible to have an opportunity to participate in this event as artists, performers, or audience members.

We’re looking for some motivated people out there – adults and teens – that would like to be a part of making this special event even more special for the youth involved. Between beforehand publicity and day-of logistics, there is something for anyone and everyone, no matter how much time you have. Come be a part of something great! Contact Veronica Swain to volunteer: vswain@gbapp.org. For more information, see http://gbapp.wordpress.com/city-kidz-got-skillz/.

Audition Notice! June 3 & 4

The Ridgefield Theater Barn

Abelard & Heloise: A Correspondence for the Stage in Two Acts By Ronald Duncan, Directed by Stefanie Woerdeman

AUDITION TIMES: 7-9pm. PRODUCTION DATES: July 13, 14, 20 & 21 or July 20, 21, 27, & 28. Weekend Performances Only
OVERVIEW: *Think a Medieval version of "Love Letters"*
Abelard and Heloise are a celebrated 12th century couple, known for their love affair... and for the tragedy that separated them. They are two well-educated people, brought together by their passion, then separated by the act of her uncle's vengeance. The story is tragic, but what's more interesting is what happened after the agony was over. They do not kill themselves, or marry anyone else (unless you count the fact that both married the church). Instead, they continue to live, write and love separately in religious seclusion. Based on the seven letters which form the correspondence between Heloise and Abelard, this play explores how their love is reignited through their letters in the presence of the Church, the monasteries and convents of twelfth century France.
