JURIED EXHIBITION, BLUE MOUNTAIN GALLERY, NYC,
PRISCILLA VAIL CALDWELL, Juror
BLUE MOUNTAIN GALLERY, founded in 1980, is
located in the heart of New York City’s Chelsea art district, and is sponsoring
its fourth Annual Juried Exhibition in 2017. The gallery’s exhibitions are
frequently reviewed in both the New York and national press.
JUROR:
PRICILLA VAIL CALDWELL is an independent
curator, advisor, writer and former Director at DC Moore Gallery in Chelsea.
Having written extensively on modern and contemporary American painting and
sculpture her contributions include catalogs and essays for both gallery and
museum publications. Caldwell has curated hundreds of solo and group
exhibitions including Claire Sherman: Sempervirens, (DC Moore,
2014); Duane Michals: Empty New York, (DC Moore, 2014);
Woods, Lovely, Dark and Deep, (DC Moore, 2013); Paved
Paradise (DC Moore, 2012); Kimber Smith: The Winged Life,
(Graham Gallery, 2011); Joe Fyfe: Wood/Cloth/Color (Graham
Gallery, 2011). Formerly a partner at Graham Gallery, New York, Caldwell serves
on the board at SculptureCenter in Long Island City and is a member of the
Parents Executive Committee at Oberlin College. Caldwell received a B.A.
in Art History from Northwestern University and an M.A. in Art History from
Williams College. She is a recipient of a Kress Foundation Grant.

Two-dimensional media only, including painting, drawing, printmaking, pastel
and mixed Media.
FEE: $35
for 1-3 works, $5 for additional works up to 6 entries
