CT Arts Catalyze Placemaking Program



The Arts Catalyze Placemaking (ACP) Program was created to provide funding for arts-based cultural institutions, activities, programs and artists in ways that will advance Connecticut cities, towns, and villages as meaningful communities in which to live, work, learn and play. The ACP program will run as a pilot in FY2013.

We have prepared a chart to provide an overview of the Arts Catalyze Placemaking (ACP) categories; range of grant awards; funding periods; eligibility, matching and other grant requirements; submission information and review process. Full guidelines will provide greater detail.
GRANT ROLL-OUT TIMELINECOA is continuing to engage in an aggressive schedule with the goal to provide funding to the field in the fall of 2012. The following items will be rolled out over the next few weeks:
  • Full program guidelines*
  • Glossary of Arts Catalyze Placemaking terms
  • Staff geographical coverage
  • Schedule of Information Sessions and Webinars
  • Application and support documents
  • Evaluation criteria/Outcome measures
  • Summary Proposal (only applicable for those applying to the ACP-3 Implementation category)
  • Directory of Performing and Teaching Artists
Each item will be posted on the website as soon as the information becomes available. Please check the website for updates.
* A minimum of 8 weeks will be given for application preparation from the time the full guidelines are posted to the date of the application deadline. The projected application deadline is currently scheduled for mid September.  The funding period will begin in the fall of 2012.
